Description

The Church of All Saints is a parish church that was rebuilt in 1819 by Joshua Harrison and underwent significant restoration in 1897, with further interior refitting in the 1930s. The building is rendered, features a stone plinth, and has a slate roof. It comprises a west tower, nave, north porch, south vestry, and a shallow chancel bay.

The west tower has two stages and is topped with an embattled parapet and flat stone coping. It includes an arched belfry opening on the north side and rectangular openings on the south and west sides, all of which are chamfered. The tower also displays three clock faces. On the south side, there is an arched two-light window with Y-tracery and a cusped top-light, likely dating back to 1819, although the tracery appears to be from the late 19th century. The nave features three bays of similar windows and a chamfered arched north door located in a gabled porch. Above the porch are two oval stone tablets that commemorate the dates of the rebuilding and the 1897 restoration. The chancel bay contains a three-light east window of the same style.

To the south of the church, there are later additions including a vestry and a boiler room. Inside, the church has early 19th-century roof trusses, a painted board displaying the arms of William IV, a charity board, and a board detailing the accounts of the 1819 rebuilding. The stone font, which is of baluster type and has a lid, is also early 19th century but has been restored.
