Description

Starkey's Bridge is a bridge built as a garden feature, dated 1834 on a tablet over the central arch on the north-west side. It is constructed of slightly rusticated ashlar stone and features three semi-circular arches on piers, with full-height cut waters on both sides. The bridge has a coped parapet with a moulded string. At the north-east end, the walls curve out to battered piers, and a retaining wall continues for a short distance beyond the pier on the north side. The bridge ends abruptly to the south-west at the edge of the Donington Park race track.
