Description

Kellam's Farmhouse and attached farm office range is a farmhouse dating from the mid-18th century, with later alterations. It is constructed of whitewashed granite rubble and features a main roof made of corrugated asbestos that is hipped to the right, along with 20th-century tile roofs on the lower ranges. The building includes brick dressings and a central ridge stack.

The farmhouse has a two-unit baffle-entry plan, with a range projecting forward on the right side. It stands two storeys high with an attic and has a one-window range facing the garden. The central entrance features a part-glazed door with a blocked window above it. To the left, there are central-opening three-light casements on both floors, which have brick arched heads. The eaves are adorned with brick dentils.

On the left end, there is a one-storey extension, and above it, in the gable attic, is a 20th-century window. The rear of the building, which faces the driveway, has two- and three-light casements and a large central buttress. The lower two-storey range that projects forward to the right of the front door includes a door, a two-light casement, and four small windows. The side facing the yard has similar doors and windows.

Inside, there are back-to-back open fireplaces with a brick stack and stop-chamfered bressumers. The fireplace in the sitting room features a pair of cupboards with fielded-panelled doors. The spine beams have stopped or run-out chamfers. There are 19th-century and 20th-century stairs. The main roof retains old purlins and pegged rafters, although many have been replaced. The extension has old purlins, and the lower projecting range contains spine beams with simple chamfers.
