Description
Copt Oak Farmhouse is a house dating from the 17th century to early 18th century, with a rear extension added around 1800. It is constructed from granite and slate rubble stone, featuring brick stacks on the left end and the centre right ridge. The building has two storeys and includes three 3-light casement windows, a 20th-century window, a door, and another 20th-century window below, all with cambered lintels. There is a 1-light window on the left end and a small one-storey extension on the right end, which has a door, a window, and an end stack. The casements and extension continue at the rear. The entrance door leads to a lobby with a large double-sided inglenook fireplace ahead, featuring cambered inglenook beams and a double hood above. Inside, there are chamfered beams and rafters, some with stops, and a short early 18th-century oak staircase. The roof is a double purlin design. Additionally, half of the original moat remains around the back of the house.
