Description

The Pump House, built in 1899, is located half within the gardens of Lea Cottage and half within the gardens of Stoneywell Cottage. Designed by Ernest Gimson for Mentor and Sydney Gimson, it features granite and slate rubble stone construction topped with a conical Swithland slate roof. This round, single-storey structure has doors on either side that provide access to each garden. The Pump House straddles the boundary between the two properties and is included in the listing for its group value with Lea Cottage and Stoneywell Cottage.
