Description

The Old Rectory is a former rectory that has been converted into a house. It dates from the late 18th century and has undergone some alterations in the 20th century. The building is constructed of red brick in Flemish bond, with ashlar dressings and a slate roof.

It features three stories and a three-bay front, which includes angle pilasters and a prominent central section that is slightly advanced. This central section has a semicircular head and an open pediment. There are cill bands on the first and second floors, with the second floor band only present in the center, and a moulded parapet above. The central entrance has a 20th-century door with a fanlight, flanked by plain sash windows.

The ground floor openings are set in wide recessed panels with semicircular arched heads. On the first floor, there are three glazing bar sash windows, and the third floor has three smaller windows of a similar style. All windows have splayed rubbed brick flat arches. Inside, the building retains six panelled doors, two semicircular-headed recessed cupboards, and a moulded cornice.
