Description
Little Markfield Farmhouse and attached farm buildings date from the mid to late 18th century, with some alterations made in the 19th and 20th centuries. The structure is built of red brick and coursed rubble, topped with Swithland slate roofs and featuring two brick gable stacks. The farmhouse is two stories high.
The south front showcases the late 18th-century farmhouse on the left, which has an off-centre plank door flanked by single three-light glazing bar casements, all featuring segment heads. Above, there are two three-light glazing bar casements with flat heads. To the left, there is a lower rubble range, likely older, with an off-centre plank door flanked by a three-light casement, and two three-light casements above. Further along, there is a single bay brick addition with 20th-century windows, followed by a single-storey range of farm buildings that includes a single plank door with a segment brick head.
