Description

The Thatched Restaurant is a mid-18th century house, altered in the 20th century, originally built as a house and now used as a restaurant. It is constructed of whitewashed brick with a thatched roof. The main facade has two storeys and five bays. A two-storey gabled porch, thatched to match the roof, is located to the right of the centre. This porch has a three-light mullioned window on either side. A large 20th-century brick extension closes the facade on the left. The first floor has five two- and three-light mullioned casement windows, set below the gabled roofline. Two internal gable-end stacks and a ridge stack are situated to the left of the centre. A large two-storey brick extension extends from the rear, northwards, and has a slate roof.
