Description

Lewin's Bridge is a road bridge built around 1780 by J. Lewin. It is constructed of brick with ashlar dressings, featuring a sill band and saddleback coping. The bridge has three elliptical arches, with the central opening being slightly larger and its keystone on the east side inscribed 'J. Lewin Builder 178-'. The west side arches also have similar keystones. The cranked coped parapet walls are complemented by square terminal piers.
