Description
The outbuilding at Lowesby Hall is possibly the original stable block, dating from the 17th century, with later extensions and modifications. It is constructed of brick and coursed ironstone rubble, topped with a Swithland slate roof. The building has two storeys and attics, featuring six bays. The southeast side is primarily brick and includes two doors on the left, a blocked door that has been converted into a window, and a two-light casement window on each side of another door, all with timber lintels. Above, there are two segmentally arched gabled dormers and two axial stacks. The rear, which is made of brick and stone, has been significantly altered at the ground floor with the addition of garage doors on the left and rendering on the right-hand bay. In the central section, there is a door with an overlight and a four-light sash window. To the left, two upper windows are blocked and feature ovolo moulded two-light stone mullions.
