Description

Lowesby Hall features a flight of steps and a retaining wall that date from around 1912 and were designed by Edwin Lutyens. The steps consist of two parts that form opposed semicircles, with a circular landing in the middle, all made of brick laid in a patterned design. The brick retaining wall creates three sides of a rectangle and includes a lower flight of steps, which has piers topped with heraldic beasts that have been recently rebuilt.
