Description

KETTERING ROAD 1. 5303 (South Side) Little Bowden No 16 (Manor House) SP 7387 2/92 II GV

  1. C17 stone house with later added wing. Recessed in garden. Gable end has 2 windows (1 blocked) with painted mullion and transom with, above, a small Venetian window with small keystone, other windows leaded casements. Garden (or south) front has 4 windows, west side 2 storeys, other 3 bays, 3 storeys. Eastern side advanced under hipped gable. 3-storey section has end and off-centre chimney. Tiled roof. Most windows modern casements including 2 bays with modern glazing. 2nd floor has 2 small earlier leaded casements. Inset door with moulded stone cornice.
