Description

The Old House, located on Braybrooke Road in Little Bowden, dates from 1759. It is positioned on a curve in the road and features a stuccoed facade that is grooved to simulate masonry, with rusticated quoins and stone-coped gable ends. There is a band at the eaves, and the building has a double-span slate roof with end chimneys. The house is two storeys high and has five windows with incised lintels. The entrance is highlighted by a pedimented doorcase with fluted pilasters and panelled reveals, along with a plain rectangular fanlight and a 19th-century door. The rear of the house is likely older than the front.
