Description

No. 44 Market Street is a house that was originally a pair of cottages, dating from the early to mid-19th century. It is constructed of rendered brick and has a Welsh slate roof. The building stands two storeys high and features a ridge and two end stacks. The facade has a regular arrangement of three windows, topped with a parapet that has a moulded wooden string, which is partly missing, and stone coping that supports four fluted urns. The windows have raised wedge lintels and replacement sash frames. There are two round-headed doorways, each with panelled doors and fanlights.
