Description
Cobblestones is a 17th-century cottage located on the West Side of Back Lane in Shearsby. The building is timber-framed, although much of the timber is now hidden by a rendered finish, and it has undergone extensive renovation. It is covered by a thatched roof and has a one-and-a-half-storey, two-unit plan. The gable facing the street features a new oriel bay window and a three-light casement window in the gable apex. The construction is post-and-truss, with one angled post and an arch brace, and a cambered tie beam visible within the gable wall. A new extension to the left contains the entrance door. Two eyebrow dormers are visible on the side elevation, and an axial stack is present.
