Description
The retaining wall, gate piers, and gates at Quenby Hall are notable features that date from the 18th century, with the rest constructed around 1900. The wall is made of coursed squared stone and ashlar, while the gates are crafted from wrought iron. The curving retaining wall serves as a ha-ha for the forecourt in front of Quenby Hall. In the center, there are a pair of tall ashlar gate piers, each topped with a winged heraldic beast. Between these piers, there is a pair of tall, finely designed wrought iron gates. This structure is included for its group value.
