Description

The stableblock at Quenby Hall is an early 17th-century structure that was reroofed in the late 18th century. It is built from coursed squared stone and features moulded brick eaves, with roofs primarily covered in Swithland and Welsh slate, mostly hipped, and includes brick ridge stacks. The building is arranged in a U shape around three sides of a cobbled courtyard, with the fourth side facing the front of Quenby Hall.

The stableblock has two storeys and is adorned with stone mullion windows. The range that faces the entrance driveway includes an open carriage arch on the left side, with a door next to it, and a three-light window to the left and a two-light window to the right. Inside the courtyard, the left range has four doorways, mostly featuring four-centred arches, along with four two-light windows arranged as follows: door, two windows, door, window, door, window, and door. There is also a two-light window on the first floor. The range facing the courtyard is similar, with a layout of two-light window, door, one-light window, three-light window, two doors, two-light window, two doors, and a two-light, one-light, and two-light window above.

Inside, there is an oak newel staircase and a beam from a former wide inglenook.
