Description
Welham Cottage is a cottage that was formerly two dwellings. The core of the building likely dates from the early 18th century, with heightening that probably occurred in the mid-19th century. It is constructed of coursed ironstone rubble with brick on the first floor and has a Welsh slate roof.
The entrance is located to the right, accompanied by a 3-light casement window beside it. To the left, there is a 3-light horizontally sliding sash window and a 2-light casement, all featuring flat timber lintels. On the first floor, there are three windows, which are 2 and 3-light casements with cambered brick heads. A dentilled sill course runs along the building. The cottage has gable and axial stacks, and a line of the former roof pitch is visible in the gable wall.
