Description
Valley Farmhouse is a farmhouse that dates from the 18th century or earlier. It is constructed of brick on an ironstone plinth and features a new plain tiled roof. The building is two storeys high and has a three-unit plan, with one bay to the left of the doorway, which contains a six-panelled door. The windows throughout the property are all two-light casements with cambered brick heads. The four upper windows are similar, and the original eaves line and wall plates are visible at their mid height. There is a stack on the right-hand gable. To the left, there is a single-storey outbuilding that has a two-light casement window set into a wider section of the ironstone rubble wall, along with a gable end stack. The house also features a lower rear wing to the west, which has two-light casement windows that match those on the front elevation.
