Description

The walls to the Manor House garden are likely from the 17th century or earlier. They are constructed from coursed ironstone rubble and feature a raking top with ashlar coping that has a roll moulding at the apex. The wall stands approximately 8 feet high and serves as a boundary with the churchyard. It runs along Bowden Lane, where there is a small doorway, along with the remains of a moulded and chamfered gate pier and a large gateway that has been cut through it. This wall is all that remains of the former hall, which was replaced in the early 18th century.
