Description

The Old Rectory is a house dating from the later 18th century. It is constructed from coursed ironstone rubble with a Welsh slate roof. The building is two storeys high and has a three-unit plan. The front, or principal, elevation faces the south east and features a small, pedimented wood porch over the front doorway. The windows are all 2-light casements. The outer first-floor windows are longer and lower, and have wood lintels. Ground-floor windows also have wood lintels; the others have stone flat splayed heads with voussoirs. On the rear elevation, overlooking the churchyard, are three 2-light casements to the ground floor and one above, all with flat splayed stone heads. The building has gable and axial stacks.
