Description

The garden wall and gate date from the 18th century and are constructed of red brick with blue headers, featuring ashlar copings and quoins. The wall has higher outer limits with quoins, then curves down before rising again to the central gate piers, which are made of ashlar and have recessed moulded panels. The wrought iron gates, likely from the 19th century, complete the structure. This wall and gate were part of the garden belonging to a house built around 1720 by Francis Edwards, who completely rebuilt the village at that time.
