Description

This is a house, dating from the 17th and early 18th centuries, which was altered in the early 19th century. It is built with timber framing, now encased in colourwashed brick, and has a Welsh slate roof with three brick ridge stacks. Wide eaves have gutters supported by iron brackets. The front elevation has two storeys with four casement windows on each floor: two-light, three-light, two-light, and three-light. The ground floor also has a similar three-light window on either side of a part-glazed door. The windows have cambered lintels, except for the door and the left-hand first-floor two-light window. A one-and-a-half-storey extension is on the left end, with a three-light window over a one-light window in the gable. A two-storey wing extends to the rear.

Inside, there are chamfered ceiling beams, a simple 18th-century staircase, and tie beam trusses. Fragments of large panelled timber framing are visible. An exterior section of a tie beam truss is visible on the left end above the extension.
