Description

A pair of cottages located on Gaulby Lane, originally built in the 18th century and raised to two storeys in the mid-19th century. The cottages are constructed of whitewashed brick with a Swithland slate roof and a brick central ridge stack. Wide eaves are present. The upper floors feature three storeys of two-light casement windows with centres that open, the lower two floors having cambered lintels. At each end of the front elevation is a gabled porch with a Swithland slate roof, each featuring a Gothic archway and a door leading to a flight of brick steps. Internally, the cottages retain ceiling beams and inglenooks.
