Description

Rose Cottage is a cottage that likely dates from the 18th century and was altered in the 19th century. It is constructed of brick and features a thatched roof. The building is two stories high and has a three-unit plan, with one bay located to the left of the doorway, which is framed by a two-centred arched architrave in a new porch. The windows are all nine-light sashes with cambered brick heads, except for one smaller upper window that has four lights. The brickwork around the door and in the right-hand bay appears to be early 18th century, with red bricks and blue headers, indicating that all openings may have been inserted in the late 18th to 19th century. The cottage has gable end stacks.
