Description

This is a mid-18th century house located on High Street, Hallaton. It is constructed of brick on an ironstone plinth, with a slate roof. The house is two storeys high with attics and comprises five bays. A central door has an overlight, and each floor is punctuated by sash windows with 12 panes of glass. These windows have cambered brick heads with stuccoed keystones and moulded wood architraves. A projecting brick string course runs along the front, topped by a moulded wood eaves cornice. Three cambered dormer windows, each with leaded lights, are set into the roof. Gable end stacks and coped gables are also present. A tall ironstone wing extends to the rear, featuring a stone-tiled roof.
