Description
Fernie House is a house dated 1793, built on earlier foundations. It features colour-washed rendered brick with a coursed rubble stone plinth and a Welsh slate roof, which has a brick central ridge and end stacks, with the left stack positioned towards the rear. The eaves are brick nogged. The building is 2 and a half storeys tall, with a basement that includes two 8/8 sash windows with cambered lintels. The central entrance has a wooden doorcase, accessed by three stone steps, and is topped by a flat bracketed canopy. The door is six-panelled and has an overlight above it. To the left of the entrance, there is a 2-light basement window, and an attic window is located at the left end of the house.
