Description
Langton House is an early 19th-century house located on the north side of High Street in Tur Langton. The building is constructed of rendered brick and features a Swithland slate roof with rendered brick end stacks. It has a wooden bracketed eaves cornice and three storeys, with three 8/8 sash windows on the first and second floors, each adorned with stone cornices on carved consoles. The second floor also has three 4/8 sashes. The façade is accentuated by four giant pilaster strips and a central wooden doorcase that includes pilasters and an entablature. The entrance features a six-panelled door and a fanlight with fine glazing bars. To the left, there is a late 19th-century rectangular bay window with seven lights and canted corners. Additionally, there is a two-storey wing on the left end, which has an 8/8 sash window on both floors, and a two-storey wing at the rear.
