Description
Warren Farmhouse is a house dated 1669, possibly with earlier origins, that was raised to one and a half storeys and extended in the 18th century. It is constructed of coursed rubble stone and red brick, topped with a Welsh slate roof featuring brick stacks at the right end and a wing at the left end. The building has two ranges, with the left range dating from the 18th century. The right range has three storeys, made of stone up to halfway up the first floor, and then brick.
There are two three-storey, four-light canted bay windows on the centre and right of this range. On the left side, there is a wooden doorcase with a flat bracketed canopy and a six-panelled door. To the right of the door, there is a one-light casement window, with two-light and one-light casements above it, and another two-light window on the second floor. The lower range on the left end has two storeys, featuring a two-light and a one-light casement on each floor. Above the doorway, there is a stone tablet inscribed with 'R.A.C. 1669', likely referring to Robert and Alice Coleman. Inside, there is said to be a beam inscribed with 'A.H.C' and a moulded beam.
