Description

This is a pair of houses, dated 1718, with alterations made in the later 19th century. The houses are built of brick, with blue headers to the ground floor brickwork and 19th-century brickwork above. They have a Welsh slate roof. The street frontage is five bays wide, with one bay to the left of the doorway (leading to No. 36) and three bays to the right; the right-hand bay has no ground floor window. The front door has an overlight, and all windows are 19th-century triple-light sashes. The upper windows are four-light sashes. A projecting sill band indicates the upper limit of the 18th-century work. The Old Bakehouse has a rear entry, and a datestone displays the initials 'BB'. A section of a stop-chamfered spine beam with run-out stops is visible in the gable wall.
