Description

No. 36 Churchgate is a house that likely dates from the 18th century. It is constructed of coursed ironstone rubble, with some brick in the gable, which may have replaced mud. The house features a thatched roof and is 1½ storeys high, with a two-unit plan. There is a central door flanked by three-light casement windows, both of which have been renewed. Additionally, there are two upper dormer windows, each with three-light casements, and gable end stacks.
