Description

The Old Village Store is a cottage dating from the late 18th century or early 19th century. It is constructed from coursed ironstone rubble and features a Welsh slate roof. The building is two storeys high and has a two-unit plan with a continuous outshut at the rear. There is a central doorway located in a projecting porch supported by timber posts, with flanking two-light casement windows on each floor. These windows have cambered stone heads with voussoirs and small panes. The cottage also has a brick dentilled eaves cornice and a gable end stack.
