Description
15 and 16 Leicester Road is a house dating from the 17th century and early 19th century, featuring 2 and a half storeys positioned at right angles to the road. The building is constructed of red brick with grey headers and has a string course between the floors. It has three windows with small plain keystones; the first floor now features modern leaded glazing, while the ground floor includes one canted bay window. The house has a wooden eaves cornice and a steeply pitched slate roof, which originally had one dormer but now has three pedimented dormers. The entrance door is in a plain wood case with a keystone, a cambered head lining, and a plain fanlight. Additionally, there is a later three-storey wing facing the road, which has two windows on the street facade. These windows are sashes with glazing bars and stuccoed lintels.
