Description
The Manor House is a house dating from the 17th century, with a late 18th century front and 20th century alterations. It is constructed of red brick with stone dressings and has a plain tile roof, featuring a brick stack at the right rear corner. The building has two storeys and gable-lit attics, along with a dentilled brick cornice. There are three windows: the first floor has restored glazing bar sashes, and the central entrance is flanked by two 18th century tripartite glazing bar sashes, all set under rubbed brick heads. The entrance features a 20th century wooden canopy supported by slender Doric columns, and a 20th century semi-circular fanlight above an 18th century door with six fielded panels. At the rear, there is a two-storey 17th century timber-framed wing with square panelled framing, although the ground floor has been replaced in 19th century brick. Inside, there is a central open well staircase with turned balusters.
