Description

No 34, The Village is a house dating from the 17th century, with alterations made in the 19th and 20th centuries. It features a timber-frame structure with rendered infill and a ground floor, topped by a plain tile roof. There is a rear stack made of brick and rubble. The building has two storeys and gable-lit attics, with two irregularly placed windows. The first floor has restored glazing bar sash windows, while the ground floor has sixteen-pane sash windows. The entrance is located at the right-hand corner and is accompanied by a 20th-century porch. The framing on the first floor consists of square panels with straight tension braces, while the ground floor has been replaced with rendered brick during the 19th century. Additionally, there is a single-storey rendered extension from the 19th century on the right side.
