Description
Manor House is a house that was formerly a rectory, built in 1841. It features a red brick exterior and a hipped roof made of Welsh slate, topped with various brick ridge stacks and wide eaves. The section on the right is set back slightly. The building has two storeys and the left section has four windows of the same size: two 6/6 sash windows and two two-light wooden mullion and transom windows on the upper floor. On the ground floor, there is a 6/6 sash window on either side of a flat-topped stone porch at the centre. This porch is supported by two Tuscan columns and has an entablature above it. A flight of steps leads up to a six-long-panelled door with an overlight. The right section of the house has three two-light wooden mullion and transom windows. The garden front on the left features four 6/6 sash windows on both floors. The date of construction is confirmed by contemporary notes from the rector in the parish register, as referenced in the Victoria County History, Volume V, page 26.
