Description
Nos. 60, 62, and 64 on Main Street are a range of three cottages dating from the medieval period and later. The gable of No. 60 faces the road and is the furthest from it. This cottage is 1½ storeys high with a thatched roof. It is constructed of slate and granite rubble stone, featuring brick dressing and a coped gable. There are two three-light casement windows and a door to the right, along with two three-light eyebrow dormers above.
No. 62 is built with square panel timber framing and painted brick nogging. It has been updated with a renewed two-light casement window, two three-light casements, and a two-light casement, along with two two-light eyebrow dormers above. The entrance is located at the rear.
No. 64 features post and pan timber framing with painted nogging and has a stone plinth. It includes a one-light casement, a two-light casement, and a door to the right. On the gable end, there is a well-preserved pair of cruck blades, which are partly concealed by an outshut. There is also a three-light window in the gable and a 20th-century porch at the rear.
