Description
This is a house located at 89 Town Green Street, dating from the 16th and 18th centuries. It features a cruck frame with painted brick and a painted granite rubble stone plinth. The roof is covered with 20th-century Roman tiles, and there are painted brick stacks at the right ridge and right end. The building consists of two storeys, with a central section that has three 2-light casements with top lights. On the ground floor, there are four similar casements with cambered lintels. A six-panelled door is located within a wooden doorcase to the centre right, above which is a firemark and a horizontal timber. The left end of the house displays a pair of cruck blades and a saddle that are mostly visible. The left range features a 2-light horizontal sliding sash on both floors, while the right range has a 2-light casement above a pair of garage doors.
