Description
Chesterton House is a pair of semi-detached houses built in the late 18th century or early 19th century. They are constructed of red brick, with No 1 featuring cement render that obscures the window heads. The roofs are hipped, with concrete pantiles on No 1 and plain tiles on No 2, which also has a dormer. The houses are two-storeys tall and have a total of eight window openings. The ground and first floor windows have segmental heads with keystones, and they feature sash windows with glazing bars and exposed sash boxes. No 2 has shutters on the ground floor windows. There are raised bands between the storeys and dentil eaves. The entrance features pedimented doorcases located one bay from each end, with six-panel doors and rectangular fanlights set in panelled recesses.
