Description

Number 20 (Brier Cottage) and Number 22 (The Post Office) are two cottages dating back to the 18th century, with a raised half-story added in the 19th century. They are constructed of red brick, with a granite rubble stone plinth in some areas, and have a Welsh slate roof with brick ridge stacks at the left end and front. The two storeys feature a variety of windows; three 2-light horizontal sliding sash windows and one 1-light window where the front wall steps back. On the ground floor, from left, are a similar 2-light window with a cambered lintel, a small 3-light canted oriel bay, a 1-light window, and a 2-light horizontal sliding sash. A door is located within a lean-to where the wall steps back. A porch is situated on the left end. The interior contains beams and an inglenook.
