Description
Old Rectory Farmhouse is a house dating from the early 18th century. It is constructed of red brick with a granite rubble stone plinth, featuring a wooden eaves cornice and a Welsh slate roof, which has brick stacks at the rear and on the wing end. The house has coped shouldered gables and stands 2½ storeys tall, with five 2-light wooden mullion and transom windows. The central entrance consists of a six-panelled door with a 2-light overlight above it. There is a sun fire mark located over the central first-floor window. On the left end of the house, there is a ground floor 1-light window and an attic 2-light window. A two-storey wing projects to the rear from the left end, which has two first-floor 2-light wooden mullion and transom windows. On the ground floor of this wing, there is a door with an overlight, a 3-light window to the left, and a 2-light window to the right. Extending forward from the left corner of the house is a granite rubble stone garden wall approximately 1.5 meters high, which turns along the front of the house. This building was formerly the Rectory.
