Description
The building is a set of stables, now used as stores, constructed in 1817 and the mid-19th century. It is made of brick and has slate roofs. The structure consists of single and two-storey sections with a total of four bays. The two-storey section features cogged eaves.
On the eastern side, there is a slightly off-centre close boarded door, with a similar door to the left that has a wooden lintel, and a taller round-headed doorway to the right. Above this doorway, there is a brick inscription that reads 'June 4 1817'. To the left, there is a three-light casement window with a segmental head, where the central light has louvres and the outer lights are blocked. To the right, there is a two-light casement window.
The north gable shows the remains of a wooden stair, with a close boarded door located above. The single-storey section has a central round-headed doorway with a half door in the south gable, flanked by single round iron casement windows. All openings feature moulded brick surrounds. Additionally, there is a late 20th-century wind vane shaped like a penny farthing bicycle above the structure. This building is included for its group value.
