Description

This is an early 19th-century house located on Castle Street in the Parish of Melbourne. It is constructed of rendered brick on a stone plinth, with painted stone dressings and a plain tile roof, featuring a brick gable stack on the south side and a dentil-detailed eaves band. The house has a single bay and three storeys. A plain doorcase on the north side contains a six-panel door and a traceried overlight, all set beneath a rusticated wedge lintel with a fluted keystone. To the south is a sash window with a similar lintel, and further sashes above and below. The building is included in the listing primarily for its contribution to the group value of the surrounding buildings.
