Description
This is a pair of early 19th-century cottages located on the east side of High Street in the parish of Repton. The cottages are constructed of rendered and painted brick, with a hipped Welsh slate roof featuring overhanging bracketed eaves and three brick ridge stacks. A chamfered plinth runs along the base. The west elevation features five bays. Number 27 has a central 19th-century half-glazed door sheltered by a Trafalgar canopy. This is flanked by three-light Yorkshire sashes set beneath segment arches. Above the door is a single-light window, flanked by two-light Yorkshire sashes, all with flat arches. Number 29 has a half-glazed door to the left, also with a Trafalgar canopy, and two three-light Yorkshire sashes to the right, also set beneath segment arches. Above these are two two-light Yorkshire sashes with flat arches.
