Description
Bretby Mill is an early 19th-century watermill located on the east side of Repton Road in Bretby. The building is constructed of red brick and features a plain tile roof with a stepped eaves cornice. It stands three storeys tall and has a three-bay west elevation. The central section includes a segmental arched doorway with a plank door. To the left of this doorway is a segmental arched window, while to the right are two square openings. On the first floor, there is a segmental headed doorway and a smaller segmental arched window. The top floor is adorned with three flat arched 2-light windows that have Yorkshire sashes. At the rear, there is a roofless outshut that once housed the waterwheel, although most of the machinery has been removed. The building is currently disused and in a semi-derelict condition.
