Description
No 4 Aston Lane is a pair of cottages that have been combined into one house. They were built in the late 18th century and have undergone minor alterations in the 20th century. The structure is made of red brick with a rendered plinth and features a plain tile roof. It has a brick gable stack on the north side and a large brick ridge stack, along with a dentilled eaves band. The building stands two storeys high and has three bays. On the south side, there are two wide segment-headed three-light casement windows with panelled shutters. The north side has two two-light segment-headed windows, both with 20th-century casements; the far north window also has shutters and was formerly a doorcase. Above these, there are three two-light glazing bar casements. The building is included in the register for its group value only.
