Description

A pair of gatepiers and steps, dating from the 18th century, are located to the south of the Church of All Saints in Ashover. The gatepiers are made of ashlar gritstone, square in shape, and stand approximately 2.5 meters high. Each pier features a moulded cornice at the top, supporting a ball finial on a tapering curved stem. These gatepiers are positioned at the southern corner of the churchyard and are accessed by a flight of eight steps that become narrower as they rise.
