Description

No. 11 Main Road is a house dating from the mid-18th century. It is constructed of coursed squared sandstone with gritstone dressings and quoins, topped with a stone slate roof. The gable ends feature rendered stacks and have moulded stone coped gables with moulded kneelers. The house is two storeys high and has three bays. A projecting central 20th-century stone porch covers the original doorcase. On either side of the porch are two-light flush mullion windows, with two similar windows above. There is also a segmental arched flush single-light window above the porch. All the windows are 19th-century casements.
