Description
The stable block to the east of Bull Farmhouse in Higham was built in 1846. It is constructed from coursed, squared sandstone with gritstone dressings. The building features a steeply pitched roof, with asbestos sheets on the west side and slate on the east. The gables are adorned with moulded stone copes and kneelers. This two-storey structure has six bays, with four four-centred arched doors on the north side and small four-centred arched windows on the south side of each bay. On the south side, there are two adjoining segmental arches. All windows are small pane fixed types, and the doors are made of glazed planks. The north gable has a plaque inscribed 'GT AD 1846'. This building is included for its group value only.
