Description

This is an early 19th-century house, located on the east side of Main Road in Shirland and Higham. It is constructed of coursed squared sandstone with gritstone dressings and a slate roof, featuring a brick gable end stack to the north. The north gable has a stone coping with a plain kneeler. The house is two storeys high and has two bays. A central doorcase has a flush lintel, and contains an original panelled door. To either side of the door are glazing bar sashes, set under skewback lintels with incised voussoirs. Above these, there are two further glazing bar sashes. The property is included on the list solely for group value.
